Display LCD upside down
« on: June 20, 2018, 02:01:39 AM »
I have two of these cameras.  One is the Rebel t2i an the other the 550D.  I have Magic Lantern installed on the Rebel.  I was exploring the menus the other day and found a way to flip the screen upside down.  I'm beginning a stop motion animation project and may mount the camera upside down. So, I thought this might be useful.  I don't know if the camera would record video or take pictures upside down, but the LCD display showed information upside down.  I have a setup above my workbench to record my hands as I work on small projects.  The LCD screen is located so I can watch through it while I work.  Having the LCD screen display info upside down would make that production much easier.

However, I flipped the LCD back to right side up and now I can't find the menu option I used to flip it in the first place.  Does anyone know what option I found?  I can't remember which of the two cameras I did this on or if I used the Magic Lantern menus.  I'm sure I'll figure this out, but it's really bugging me that I can't find this.  It's keeping me up at night.  Been googling for hours.  Not luck.

It should be in Screen Layout Settings, and it's called "UpsideDown" mode. If your googling isn't working well, it could be that you don't know what term is used... it seems to be not 'flip' or 'invert' but that one word 'UpsideDown' with no underscore or space. Hope that helps!
