Which forums do you read
« on: July 27, 2015, 06:44:09 AM »
In one of my previous posts, members mention other forums they participate in. Which ones do you like to visit, and provide a link so others may check it out as well. Myself, I frequently read "Photography on the net"
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/
6D, T2i, Canon 600EX, 430EXII, and some other stuff my wife doesn't know about.

Damn, I'm guilty of not remembering that I actually signed up for that forum a while back.  I had been inactive for a long time but logged back in when I clicked on your link. Now THAT is a forum with some size to it.  I need to spend some time checking out their threads to try and get a feel for their members though.
Other than this one (which I will get back in to), the only photography related places I post to are on Google+.  They have a lot of specific communities, i.e. macro, birds, nature, Canon 70D, Mini Cooper, Apple OSX, Bird Lovers, Airshow and Aviation, etc.  (yes, I used communities I am in but there are a TON more than that. Literally.)
The thing that I found lacking on all of the Google+ communities was the lack of critique. Especially constructive criticism (as opposed to badmouthing someones work).  I liked what we had here for that stuff.
I think the one thing I like about Google + is the ease of uploading photos to it, whereas here we usually have to load over on Flickr and then come back here to link it.  It isn't a deal breaker but it is just one extra step.  I realize it's required due to space but it's just not as convenient as G+  (or Facebook for that matter).
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

Are you aware we can just upload the photo as an attachment? One step.

Yep...but didn't they prefer a link?
