I get it Chelie. I am not at all saying that it is wrong. I just feel like the sky is secondary to the rest of the shot. Doesn't mean I am right and you know what they say about opinions. Also, in number four you are pretty darn close to what I would consider the right mix so I should not have lumped that one in there.

BTW - what lens did you shoot number 3 with? That looks pretty darn wide as in maybe a little more than the 18 side of the 18-55?

These were all shot with the 18-55. :D

More evidence for the people that think the kit lens is rubbish.

Now wait, that did not come out right. More evidence to show that the people that think the kit lens is rubbish are just not paying attention to the nice shots that the lens can and does produce.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

Like everybody has said, wonderful shots.  Amazed those were with the 18-55.  You do great work with that lens.  IMO, the last photo of the fisherman is great and might be better if there was less sky above him. If you could crop the photo so the top of the pic would be showing almost the whole fishing rod, just below where the fishing line extends towards the water.  Just MO.

These PICs are fantastic.  No sunrise challenges with you!

Jumping on the bandwagon once again for the fisherman shot!!!
