Anyone Else Experiencing Slow Load Times?
« on: January 03, 2013, 10:04:35 PM »
Especially tonight, but over the past couple of days, I've noticed the pages on this forum take longer to load than in the past.
I'm fast on other websites and I've done the speed tests and things are they way they should be.
I'm talking at least 5-10 seconds from clicking on a link till the new page starts loading.

I'm usually only getting that loading the home page, but yes I've been experiencing that too. I wonder if the hosting company has a monthly bandwidth limit, and once you exceed that they drop your bandwidth speed way down. Just a thought.

I've been noticing it for a while now.  It works ok...it just has a horrible lag to begin with.  I just need to develop some patience and it will be just fine.  Of course it would be nicer if that lag wasn't there but it's not the worse thing that could happen.
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

Yup, definitely slower than the other forums I'm on. I can't say how long it's been happening.

Does it seem erratic? I mean right now I seem to be getting great loading speed but this morning was a different story.

It's really slow right now. Even got an error when I submitted the last reply.

It's getting worse. I just composed a posting, and lost it because of this:
