check the image size, it's got to be under 8000kb, if it still doesn't work try hosting offsite

I render everything I post online at 2 megapixels, keeps file sizes around or below 2mb most times, try that

I got it to 1.93 mb (quality suffered as a result) and the screen still went white, although when i refreshed the site it was posted this time.  interesting, haha.

What are you using to edit/render your photos? I use lightroom, and when I render I just resize to 2mp, which is like 1750x1150. That should be big enough to fill most monitors when viewed fullscreen and not stretch much.

If you're a student or a teacher I definitely recommend lightroom(I recommend it no matter what, actually). You can get the student teacher version of Lightroom 4.0 for $55. Check it. If you're not a student, it's still a reasonable $127. I do most everything in lightroom, for example of the 450 photos I just edited in lightroom, I only had to send 4 to photoshop for things I couldn't do in lightroom.
