I really wish these worked again.  I am so late keeping up on threads.

...and still no update from a mod/admin...
I have now been over the settings twice with a fine tooth comb and I can find no place that talks about the notifications. I will try a third time later tonight if I have time but you have to believe me that I went tab by tab and option to option and just can not find a reference to the notifications.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

We believe Skippy. More so that we were disappointed that there was no response from the admin on this since the thread started. I don't mind visiting the site daily because I like to see if there's new posts anyway, but hey, this is the internet and software and all sorts of nefarious riffraff. Glad you're checking on it.

Perhaps one of the regular updates/upgrades to the site software is responsible for the facility being withdrawn? That would explain why Skippy cannot find reference to it. Ryan should be able to clarify the issue unless the modifications to the software take place automatically.

Just thinking out loud here rather than an evidence-based conclusion!

Went to the Simple Machines Forum, (this site's structure is made by Simple Machine Forums), not sure if this is the reason we stopped getting mail but it could have something to do with the hosting company that hosts this forum.

It has to do with php mail() function:

maybe this has something to do with the stoppage.

I was also wondering if this was the problem. You see, in the old days, people found back doors in scripts that allowed spammers to use forums to send out spam. It was funny, because the regular pill stuff went out with "this message brought to you by the South Wilkinhorne Dog Fanciers' Forum" and stuff like that. It was 'fixed' with forum security updates, but hosting companies are probably nervous about giving PHP scripts the ability to send out mails unattended.

Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

Just curious, but is anyone actually working on this issue or has it been abandoned??

Chelie - I have looked and looked and I can find no reason for why they are not working. I know they are not though as even mine are not coming through. It seems that it happened with the last board upgrade. I will still try to get with Ryan to see if we can find something out but I would suggest not holding your breath on this one.
