Posting with urls
« on: July 01, 2012, 02:34:38 AM »
Ok i know how to copy and paste a link here. I know how to post a full photo here pasting between the brackets.

My issue is with videos. I want to post the the video itself as opposed to just the link prompt.

I thought i could paste the url in between the brackets and it would install the full video on the page. Any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't get the forum to host videos. However, if the video is on youtube, and you use the plain link that the forum recognises, (something along the lines of youtube.com/watch?v=nnnnn or whatever)  then it will automagically embed the video for you; this is special for youtube (the video is being served from there).

It also works with Vimeo.

Just type in the URL to the video, wherever it's hosted, and see if it pops up.  It will work with YouTube and Vimeo, for sure.
