Help me choose my company logo - Poll Inside
« on: May 06, 2013, 05:18:03 AM »
So I have been wanting to redo my logo for my company because the current one was a 5 minute creation that I needed temporarily.

I decided to go with 99Designs.com to help bring in some ideas and man has it been tough. So if you all wouldn't mind, take a second a vote on which one you like.

Also, if you have some input on design changes, I am open to hear them. Remember, these are graphic designers creating them, not me so I can request changes.

I took the poll.

Thanks! I'm having such a hard time deciding which I think is the best.

I tended to be drawn to the one ones with MORE photos samples, even though they seem to be from the same area, weddings (?).

Several small samples would tend to make me look at it more closely than just one photo of one area, if you know what I mean.  It may just be me.

Yeah I uploaded multiple photos so they could place the logo on them but they all moved to the wedding photo. I specified that the logo needed to be able to be seens on B&W images along with images with a lot of color like landscapes.

I think I did the right thing asking them to work around the "K". I seem to really like some of their ideas.

Cool way of designing logos.

Kind of expensive way too... but I think it'll pay off if I use the logo for years to come.

I didn't vote because I don't see the combination I would like to see.  I like the circular "K" in the sunburst/fire ring because I think it plays off your name - firey stuff looks kinetic with the K frozen (or still).  Layout-wise I liked 154 and 155, but if you used the logo I like I would put it off center, maybe in the lower right.

That said, they all look pretty darned good and very professional.

YOU'RE NOT HELPING!  :P

I definitely understand what you are saying. Unfortunately, these are my narrowed down choices. I think I had 195 total submissions. Totally nuts and way more than I ever expected.

#152 (firey swirl with the K inside) was somewhat my idea. They originally had the aperture inside the circle but I feel like everyone is using that. My worry about this one though is the size. It's a big large and might draw peoples focus away from the image.

#154 is simplistic which is somewhat my style. I really think it would work well for me but at times I wonder if it's too simple. I also want to see it on a B&W image without the color to see if it stands out well enough.

#155 is really cool to me. I like how it's just different. I think it could work well in B&W and I think it adds a bit of uniqueness to the look and feel of my work.

You would still control the size and opacity of the watermark.  I don't think I would necessarily be too concerned with the the size of the logo overall.  You might also only choose to use a part of the overall logo for watermarking images.

Just some thoughts...
