I didn't get this view when I went there!

It's rather cool :)

Wow, that thing is tiny but very capable.  Very impressive.  I had no idea those things could be controlled from far away like that, nor how long the flight lasts before the batteries give out.  Where can I gets me one?

I kept forgetting to come back to this.  My Week 21 shot (first one) was my friends DJI Phantom which has a GoPro mounted on the bottom.  I don't think he would fly his over the falls :)

That's freaking cool!

And yeah - it would take a certain amount of guts and trust in your gear to fly it over something like the falls!

Cool video, and I've GOT to get me one of those!!

They're very sophisticated, and if something happens, (lose remote signal etc.) it will auto-fly back to its origin point. (via GPS) Even at that, I'd be scared spit-less to have it out over the falls like that. If something croaked, goodbye quad copter and Go Pro camera! (And/or about $1,000+)

Here's a link: They're $679 for a ready-to-fly kit.

I've wanted to get one for sometime but I'd rather put the money into a new body or lens.  Drones might actually be a more expensive hobby than photography based on what my friend dumps into his.  He's now upgrading many of the components in the DJI.
