Voting for these was stupid hard. I don't recall (in my short time here) ever seeing such a good group of shots to choose from. Seriously.

Don't EVER do that again.  My head hurt trying to figure out which one to vote for. ;)
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

I agree 100% with Doodle!!!  Congratz to all on some awesome shots and of course to Skippy for the cream of the crop so to speak.

While looking at Skips rather amazing shot that won the PotM I noticed something....

Something that is concerning me greatly....

Something that I cannot believe I missed when I was viewing them in the first place!

There is a man-made piece of timber right in the foreground of the shot!

Tut-tut :P

OK, thought I would just point that out - it does not mean that it isn't an absolutely awesome shot (which it is), I just thought it was amusing because the winning shot was one of only a couple in there where I could detect any "hint of human touch" :P

I have got to admit zubbuz, I feel like a fraud.

I loaded the wrong picture for this competition. That board is for sure there and is a breach of the human touch rule. :( What I find crazy is that it really sticks out on the main page where as I overlooked it very easily on the other page. :(

I am going to give myself two demerits and a timeout for this blatant disregard for the rules.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

It's disgusting, I know. But I'm glad that you recognise it and feel like a fraud!

But you're right - I completely missed it during the voting (not that it would change my vote as I am sorry but I didn't vote for it :P ) but it just stared me in the face when I saw it on the main banner....

All joking aside, it is still a spectacular shot!

OMG I now have 2 idols that were knocked off of their pedestals! First Tiger and now Skippy.
Who will be my idol NOW?!  :(

Life is full of disappointments - it's a life lesson a young man like you needs to learn...

I hope it treats you better from here on out...

It's been brutal recently. All the stores in town stopped selling Arizona Raspberry tea last week (even though they still make it!), and I am going through withdrawals. Life is hell I tell ya. HELL! ::)

To be spoke of like an Idol like Tiger Woods in any way is pretty darn top notch. I don't know how I am ever going to get my head into my hat after that. :)

Just buy a bigger hat.  After you come down to earth, put that big hat in some hot water to fit your head.  Although, any hat you wear doesn't change how great a photographer you are.  How do I buy one of your old hats?  Can you sign it for me?
