No no no.. The winner of this month didn't get to pick a theme.  The winner of next month's gets to pick it for April, I think?   Correct me if I'm wrong, Skippy.

Yer wrong, Parkey...remember that we wanted to give folks two months to work on their photo ops...

I personally liked it the way it was, but this does not really change it for me...it does give one more time and opportunity though.

Theme for March has already been chosen as Night Photography by Craig so Chelie gets to pick April's theme.

HTH  :)

Snapper has it right, we slipped a month to give more time, so we had a month without a winner/theme, not a winner/theme without a month. Hence the "no theme" month.

As one of the proponents of this scheme, I do apologise that it's a bit confusing because at any one time, there are two themes going... the current month (of course) plus the preview 'heads up' of what next month is going to be. I like it this way, because we get some good sunsets here, but I didn't see a good one in the "sunset" month... (sigh).

I am also to blame as I pushed hard for this new system.
I've already been trying the Night Photography theme (nothing worth posting yet) so its working well for me as I found there was a real gap between submission and the new theme being announced before.

Anyway, it does also give Chelie a little time to think of a theme.
Chelie, if you have a look at the photo of the year comp we did a little while ago you can see all 12 months winners up and have a look at past themes so you can get an idea and choose something new.

PS Well done. Great month and some really fantastic entries.
I once prayed to God for a camera, but quickly found out he didn't work that way.... so I stole a camera and prayed for his forgiveness.

I will definitely take a look and see what the previous ones were so I can come up with something!

I told my darling mother that I won and she goes "But I liked the one with the pink chairs because I like pink."

Gotta love family! LOL!

Okay first let me start with a Congrats to Chelie! Good job. I was hard to pick a winner for me this month but was easy to pick my top three. Congrats all three of you.

Now Chelie there is confusion but some of them have it right up there. You are going to name "April's" theme. March was set by last months winner and we are now letting the winner select a theme an entire month ahead so that all us slackers have a chance to think up what to do. March is Night Photography and you will place the April theme in the April thread and then I will put a lock on it until April 1.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?
