This was a great competition as it was never as far as I can remember more than a 3 vote lead. Those are two great shots that come in 2nd and 3rd and it makes me really proud to win this one. Suka, that is a great shot. Every time I would get a two vote lead someone would come along and give you a vote. This was like a heavyweight battle the entire way. Good job man! You two bbnd. I don't think I have seen you post since your member post and I didn't want to give away that one of the shots was yours but man that was a nice way to introduce yourself. I hope you are still around.

Now for revealing who shot what. I lost who shot the second shot so I hope that whoever this belongs to tells me. Here they are with the names:

Shot Number One: Suka

Shot Number Two: I am sorry but I lost who shot this one. Someone claim it please.

Shot Number Three: laislinns

Shot Number Four: 1074

Shot Number Five: AnthGatesHead

Shot Number Six - Thunderthumbs

Shot Number Seven: bbdn

Shot Number Eight: Mooch

Shot Number Nine: Massareloud

Shot Number Ten: Skippy – Shot from Bear Rocks in West Virgina

Well done Skippy - close call against some very stiff competition! I hope the Architecture theme for June is of similarly high quality  :)
I used to be a very negative person... but then I went digital.

Thank you Snapper! I am sure the Architecture theme is going to bring out a lot of great shots. I personally have about 20 different shots going through my head for that one. I am already excited and looking forward.

Congratulations Skippy, a well earned victory.

In the beginning of the contest someone wanted to know where I shot my photo, to put it on his bucket list. Well it is in New Zealand, at Milford Sound to be exact. The whole southern island is full of these beautiful places and it is certainly worth a visit!

I love this anonymous thing because it stops people putting their signature/logo on their submissions  :P

And I think it's great that you, Skippy, can enter and win! I am happy for you, since you put all this effort in to the organisation of it.

Now I have to focus on architecture... if I could only get my a55 down town, I should be able to find something cool...

I love the anonymous thing as well. It seems way cool to vote on a shot without any sort of influence. I am really happy to have won this one but the anonymous thing even got me. I love who shot picture number two. Come on someone, tell me.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Way to go Skippy, beautiful photo.  After seeing all these great photos posted in this POTM comp, I did not think I had a chance at all.  It is an honor to me to come in second place between all these great photographers, especially in such a close finish with you.  Congats again.

  • Old age causes memory loss. Or worse, memory loss.
I thought you all had lost your minds because I couldn't see the new banner.

STUNNING looking banner Skippy!
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

Really loving the photo header Skip.
The composition works fantastically for the shape and overlay of the header.
I also take back what I said about the foliage in the front, I think it works well here.
I once prayed to God for a camera, but quickly found out he didn't work that way.... so I stole a camera and prayed for his forgiveness.

For anyone not seeing it, just hit "F5"; no need to clear your cache.
