Please PM me your shot and I will post it without your name. We are going to judge blindly this month to test it out.

Do Not forget. Your shot needs to be 990x415 to be in the contest.
=================================================================================
Got a nice picture you took with your T2i?  Submit it below and the winner's picture will be posted up as the website header for the month of October.

I wish we could throw in a prize but unfortunately, we don't have any sponsors yet.  Bragging rights are always fun to win though!

Also the winner will choose the next POTM`s theme!

Looking forward to seeing what you all got!  The poll will be added on September 24th for the first round of voting.  September 27, 2012 the poll will be updated so that everyone can vote on their favorite from the top 3 that made it past the first round of voting.

The Theme of this Competition is "Sky". That is anything at all so long as the "Sky" is an important factor to the picture.

1.  One photo entry per user (so pick your best one!).  Choose wisely as the first photo you submit will be the one judged.  You can't switch photos once one's been submitted.
2.  Photo has to be in some way related to the Theme.
3.  Photo has to be in landscape orientation (as opposed to portrait), preferably 990x415 as this will be the cropped end product (Photos that have a smaller width than 990 or a smaller height than 415 will be disqualified - the reason, enlarging photos degrades their quality).
4.  Deadline for entries is midnight EST on September 24, 2012. Update (Suggested deadline is the 24th as we will now take an entry all the way up to the 27th if you want to suffer from not getting your shot in when the poll opened up.)
5.  Between September 24th and September27th, members vote on their 3 favorites and can update/change their votes up until midnight September 27th.  From midnight September 27th to the end of the month, the poll will be reset with the top 3 vote-getters from the first round and members can vote for their favorite.
6.  Moderators can now enter a photo in the contest without worrying about conflict on interest.

=================================================================================
Our theme for August will be " "Sky". That is any interpretation of the sky that you like just so long as the sky is the significant part of the photo. .

What?  Last weekend, was last month. Thought we couldn't use old shots, plus you planned ahead.  Just kidding SkierBoy.  I have an idea to get back into the POTM comp., but waiting until/if clouds enter the scene that I plan on shooting.

I know that you was kidding Suka but I want to put this out there for everyone. Once the theme is known then feel free to get that great shot. I mean lets say Bgray names transportation as a theme today for October. Then I would no begrudge anyone from taking a shot tomorrow for the October contest. That was pretty much why we moved to naming a theme a month ahead of time. We just want people to have time to catch a shot for the contest as it is all in fun.

I've been trying to find a good shot for it...it was perfect timing for the "Fun in the Sun" one since I was on the ocean during that one but "Sky" would've been fine for ocean sunsets... :P

Ha ha ha, here we've been having clear, blue days (at least last time I slowed down enough to really look  :P) so I would get a shot of only blue.  :P Waiting for a good sunset... ;D

Skippy, I have a couple of shots which may fit into this months theme.  Unfortunately, I can't decide which one to post.  The pics are very different in comp, and view(s).  Can there be anyway beginning with next months POTM to post more than one shot per person if the shots are different?

I used to be a very negative person... but then I went digital.

I'm not quite sure what this from. Looks like a side ways twister. I will have to ask the owner after this competition.
