The Problem i would have with video competitions is, that me and my friends sounds terrible in spoken english and therefor i would shoot in my nativ language. maybe i could do subtitles....

No you don't have to do that. I enjoy making up whatever you guys are saying in my own words. I then think that you guys are just as silly as me that way. ;)
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

Somewhere someone had a "5 second video" competition.  I thought it was here, but maybe not.

I like the idea of a 5 second video. I might even try turning that dial all the way and "pop its cherry" so to speak.
I once prayed to God for a camera, but quickly found out he didn't work that way.... so I stole a camera and prayed for his forgiveness.

yeah, i ended up realizing i shot almost as much for that as I would a full video.  I did another one but never edited it all the way, cuz I couldn't get the timing right.

Doesn't have to be language dependant right?! Sure I'm not the only one who watched cartoons in languages I didn't understand as a kid!!!

Just wanted to throw it out there that two movies I really love happen to be in subtitles: Life Is Beautiful and Pan's Labyrinth. Also music is a universal language of sorts so you could always work with that!!
