Blacks
« on: August 11, 2014, 09:56:29 PM »
I have a thing lately where even in broad daylight that my camera isn't liking blacks. They appear to be very graining.

I've been really wanting to reset the camera. Not sure if it will help. Has the latest firmware..

Taking photos at the "L" settings..

What could this be?

I can't see anything wrong on this photo because it is not full sized for us to be able to view the potential problem.
Also, it would help if you gave us the settings that you used when you took this shot: shutter speed, ISO, aperture, mode used (if it wasn't manual), etc.  The more details the better.
Also, was there any post processing done to this or was it straight out of camera?
Do you have a photo storage site that you use like Flickr, where we could view the original photo? That would help immensely.
Thanks.
(and from what I see here....nice photo!)
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

I'll take a wild guess, and say that it's the colourspace thing again. Are the photos with the problem blacks also the same ones that have the underscore tag by any chance  ;)
