And I told mine that you had your wife's blessing, so she should do the same for me .
I'm happy 'cause I have a good sense of humor and a short memory ...

I'll just be getting the body. I have enough (more or less) lens for now. And keeping it cheap as possible might be a way for me to survive the onslaught that I am sure will be coming when I tell the wife what I bought::)

I noticed you didn't write "what I plan to buy".   I like your approach!   :D

I have always been of the theory "It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission" before but this one might test that theory a bit.  It might lead to another theory I've never had to test yet: the couch will give me a backache.

I might go with Excal's approach and say "Well HE got it because his wife said he could"  Which...probably won't fly with my wife.  (her response "well then let HIM buy yours then...)  ::)
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

Yea, that has screwed up a lot of my best laid plans.

David Leadingham: I just checked all the Best Buys in my area (like 5 of them within 100 miles).
ALL of them were "ship to store", meaning none of them had the 70D in stock.  <sigh>

Vistek and the cameraStore have lots in stock here. And, overnight delivery.

B&H has 2 day shipping and a 90 return (no questions asked!) policy that I like too.
My wife has a membership to Amazon Prime if I want to go that route.
In my mind, I had planned on ordering on the 23rd when B&H opened back up (they took all of the Easter holiday off) so I will probably just stick with them.  They have done right by me so far and I will probably continue with them until they prove otherwise that they are not a good company.

You can't go wrong with B&H....stellar company and awesome service. Used them a lot (when the Canadian $ was up) to ship across the border and never had any bad experiences.

And just to show that I'm not the Red Bar... that you made me to be, I'll wait for the 23rd before ordering.

Damnit, if my wife finds out that you haven't gotten yours yet, that will blow my whole "he already got his" schtick!  8)
