Yay!  A new toy!!! And it's not broken.    :)

As far as I can tell anyhow...  ::)

I just meant I'm glad it doesn't need to go back over your gray market concerns.

1- Set diopter
2- go trough all settings
3- LET HER ROCK !!

Only one setting he needs to mess with and that is enable high speed shooting and listen that shutter sing!  ;D

Holy crap...that high speed setting almost caught me off guard, it was so fast.  Jeez! I guess I will have to get used to shooting 2 or 3 bursts of any one shot I want cuz I LOVE that speed but I'm afraid I will develop the bad habit of 'stabbing' at the shutter to shoot only one frame. So...2 or 3 of the same shot is good with me. :)

One thing that's not kosher: I got a 3rd party grip and battery from them.  When I installed it, I got an error message saying that it could not communicate with the other battery.  So in essence, the battery level will only be reading from one battery and that's not good.  I sent off a letter asking for a Return Authorization to send it back and get an actual Canon battery instead.  Hopefully I won't get any grief over that.  I just sent the email and haven't heard back yet.

Otherwise: I am happy.
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

I knew you'd like that!

Sucks on the battery but in the grand scheme of things its the one you can sort out with them since it won't stop you from enjoying your new camera.  I haven't gripped mine yet.  Have it on the T2i but I wasn't sure I wanted the extra size on this one.

Ok, first thing I noticed was that the box it came in was for a 70D and a kit lens. Obviously I didn't order that and there was no kit lens in there. Weird but ok.

The retailer paid the discounted rate for a body & lens kit.

Then sold you the body for retail.

And sold someone else the lens. For retail.

Not legal.

Did you at least get the proper charger?

I didn't know the specifics but I am betting that is exactly what they did. They did at least give me the proper (Canon) charger.
I wonder how long they can get by with that kind of stunt before getting busted??  ???

Not terribly legal no, but as long as everyone is happy and Canon doesn't find out :P

Because they obviously aren't selling the body entirely at retail because as D said, he got it cheaper than he could elsewhere...
