HDR Workshop #27 - Poll is up - please vote

St. Helier is the patron saint of Jersey, and gives his name both to the town and to the Parish Church.
'The Hermitage' where he lived and died still stands and an annual pilgrimage takes place.
The concrete 'box' on the right of the picture is one of the many concrete fortifications on the island built by the German army when they occupied Jersey during WWII.
The Channel Islands were the only part of Great Britain that the Germans invaded, occupied and defended.

For more information, take a look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/jersey/features/2003/07/01/hermitage.shtml and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupation_of_the_Channel_Islands

That's the history lesson over - here are the RAW files:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40709527/%2B2.CR2 +2

Feel free to use as many or as few of the RAW files as you wish. Crop as you see fit. A little levelling will be required as well  ;)

Have fun!

Thanks bgray. I hoped it would prompt a wider variety of interpretations.  :)

Is it just me or does that grey/black rock leaning against the causeway look like a petrified Commodore Pet computer?  ???

Well - both are good representations then of stone-age computing :P

I found this to be an odd one - the subject matter is bloody cool! But the HDRing just didn't seem to be as spectacular as I thought it would be from first glance.....

Anyway - that being said, here is my moody attempt :)

Sorry for the late entry, here is mine: I thought this looked like a scene out of Shutter Island, so I did a 2.35:1 anamorphic equivalent crop on it.

EDIT: Changing the image link. Still the same image, just hosted differently.
