HDR Workshop 30 - Poll is up - please vote!
« on: June 19, 2012, 05:00:02 AM »
In a low vote, Skippy, ARPhot and zubbuz tied.

One of them should be posting new files for us to have a go at very soon...

This is, of course, assuming that enough people still have the appetite for more of these workshops?

Should we continue or call it a day?

Your thoughts?
==============================================

The Raw files. A little different as I don't think that we have done waterfalls and even though this one is nothing special, it has some work to be done.

Well I have to say that I really enjoy doing them - I really like being given the opportunity to work on random photos from all around the world...

But you might have a point, if there is not enough interest, it might not really be self sustaining any more....

Perhaps we could just (whenever possible) have members post links to their RAWs (or even JPEGs or TIFFs - I really don't have a problem working with any of them) and we could just do em for fun.

That's not a bad idea - certainly one I would be happy with if the competitions in their current form die out....

I kinda like the current form but it would be nice to hear critiques about our pics (what works or what's not right....), After all, it's how we can improve.
I'm happy 'cause I have a good sense of humor and a short memory ...

I think that the warm weather of the summer is killing us. I personally like the format that we have been using but critique would be nice. I also love when people explain their workflow but even I am guilty of not doing so as my workflow changes from shot to shot. I mean I am normally going to take the shots into photomatix and then spit something out and then tweak away in Lightroom. It is hard for me to nail down what exactly I did as I will use the brush here and there to dodge and burn ext. Having said that, anyone that is better as saying what they did makes me happy.

Now lets get some new shots up for 30. ARP, Zubbuz??? Anything or should I post some?

Skippy, I like this shot a lot. I tried working on it last night but it got too late. I'm going to get to it this afternoon though.

I thought it was freaking awesome...just sayin'.
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

I battled with cropping to the point I wasn't going to post it unless I made up my mind. You never would have seen it  :o
