LR4 & Photomatix for me...

I used to be a very negative person... but then I went digital.

Photomatix only and Snapper the bump worked. Here's my 2 cents.

Does anyone else find the color saturation different after they post the pic compared to the display in photomatix?

I find that what photomatix shows me is at best a rough draft of what the shot will really be.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

I later ran that pic I posted through PSE and it improved but I never posted it.
 I'll find out next time.

I severely boosted the saturation to get the water to be really aqua.  But of course, this ruined the rest of the picture.  So I layered some of the original photos back in to fix the rocks, trees, etc...

I was also torn on the crop.  The loved the rocks in the lower left, but keeping them in kind of made the crop seem off, but I still stuck with them, and made do.

By the way, this is a great shot.  Nice!

Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?
