"ARPhot why don't you go ahead and post the RAW photos. Not sure I have any good ones anyhoo!

But, thanks to everyone who voted for me - it was my first try - NO idea anyone would like it!"

OK . . . sorry for the delay. I am at least 24 hours from a possible post. I'm for anyone who wants to post. If there's still none, I hope to have them by 4PM (EST) tomorrow.

There's just so much nuthin around here.

I realize my HDR attempts are not that good.  On the outside chance I might win one of these HDR comps, is it my responsibility to provide the next months HDR photos?

is it really for 6 months?

sorry, I also noticed that some people posted more then one RAW photo. Could you explain that?

BTW: ARPhot, I got some RAW shots yesterday, so if you can't upload just let me know - no rush though!

Rachel - the reason for more than one RAW photo is so that there are photos of different exposures to work with. Thus the High Dynamic Range. When you shoot a photo at even exposure and depending on the dynamic range of the scene it is going to potentially lose detail in the darks or the highlights. Multiple exposures at different stops of EV make it possible to get more detail in the darks and highlights then when you merge them together you are creating an High Dynamic Range, (HDR), photo that will have nice visible detail in more than the normal 8 or so stops that your sensor can cover.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.

Alright. Well I just upload one. I think it'll work. I shot it in RAW, but it looks pretty normal. Let me know if it doesn't qualify.
