Do you mean something that represents you? Otherwise the anonymous part goes right out the window.  ;D
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

It could be a portrait of a part  of yourself. A hand, a foot, an eye, an abstract, etc. Could be interesting.

My opinion is that self portrait is a good idea.  It would definitely get me out of my comfort zone!

If we lost anonymity for one category, this is not a tragedy....my two cents.

Polarama
Okay, I added your ideas to my master list up there but I have got to know what the hell a Polarama is? Is that when you go to a stripper club and have a contest on the pole or what?

If portraiture is the idea, couldn't we keep it by shooting someone else?  Just wondering. Personally speaking, I have a face for radio if you know what I mean.  8)

Yeah, I understand.  Remember that you don't have to agree to a theme.  For instance, I really can't do macro due to lack of equipment.  We could accept not doing self portrait for "lack of equipment", as well!

:)

But I'm in the same boat as you.  It would take a lot of convincing to get me to agree to do a self portrait!

Hey hey HEY!! Have you been talking to my wife or something?!  >:(  :o  ;)  ;D

But I agree, while I would never get in front of a camera, I would love to try portraiture sometime too.

I say it on for you two. I like the way this one came about and I know bgray is not going to run so I will expect to see a new thread from you two soon. Paper bags and all. :)

Polarama

While that does sound like a lot of fun, I find Polaramas fun to make as well. It's using the polarising effect in Photoshop (and I am pretty sure other editing software) to make little worlds out of panorama shots. Like the one below.

I wrote a whole tutorial about them here: http://blog.evanescent.co.za/2012/04/post-processing-fun.html. Even if we don't end up doing Thunderdome challenges with them, they are really fun to do.
