I used to be a very negative person... but then I went digital.

Kickboxer

One of the photos from a kickboxing event I was paid to photograph yesterday. Unusually (for me, at least), this was a single shot rather than one from a burst. Lucky or what?!  :)

Single shot? Damnnn...you're good. (or damn lucky) ;)
Curious as to why you chose to go single shot as opposed to burst for this type of event?
<excellent timing on this one by the way!>
Take your camera with you dammit. You can't take your next "best photo" if your camera is sitting at home in the bag, now can you?

I was shooting on burst for almost the whole evening but I just had a feeling that this guy was going to do some showboating for the crowd. I was just about to move my position when he launched so I only had time for the one shot and prayed that I had got it. You should have seen the look on the other photographer's face afterwards - you can see the angle he was shooting at from the photo - when he saw my result and compared to the 8 'before, during & after' shots that he got from the 'wrong' angle!  ;D

But...but...he got a good butt shot! ;)

Annnnd, as I have done a few time this year, I didn't get a photo in.  Things never lined up for me to get outside and get anything.
I am heading out to the lake this morning so hopefully I will put something in to the one following this week.

(I hate that I have missed so many weeks this time around...)
