question on older lenses
« on: August 10, 2015, 11:53:21 AM »
A friend of mine gave me an older Sanwa lens circa 1985 to price out for him. Still had tag on it from sale. 169.00 . It's a 70 - 120 and it's it's pristine condition . Never been used . I'm pretty sure it's not compatible to any dslr around today...any ideas of its worth?
Canon T2i x2, 55-"nifty" 250mm lens, 18-55mm kit lens, Battery grip.

I'm sorry to say this, but Sanwa is not so big a company, and there's no 'chat' on the Internet about their lenses so there's no following. Modern lenses are simply 'better' in my opinion due to computer design and material purity. On top of that, you have the task of finding an adapter that may not exist... I'm afraid that my guess would be $0.00 for its value, and I'm pretty sure I'm not far off with that.

ok, I'm blaming ebay...
got the lens and it's a Sigma mount. when I was searching on ebay I clicked the "For Canon EF" box, so all that should have been there was Canon mount lenses.
so... Back on ebay with this puppy!
