Can't copy firmware into my camera?
« on: August 20, 2011, 04:15:58 PM »
Hi,
So I've decided to attempt installing magic lantern.  My first problem already was......how come I can't copy paste  the firmware into my camera???

It won't allow me to copy paste anything into it.  The card itself isn't locked, so what gives?

I don't even see the DCIM or Misc folder in my card when I opened it up in my pc.  Any ideas?

You have to use an external card reader ... and do the things from there ..
hope you'll get it right then ..
life's only once .. enjoy the adventures

Hey I figured it out.

At first it was because I was plugged into the camera like you said.  The 2nd time was because of my card reader.  Everytime you put it in, it flips the lock switch.  To fix that, I had to tape the the switch with masking tape then popped it in.
