Good day
« on: February 18, 2012, 05:59:09 PM »
I just received my 1st "real" camera...that is something other than a point and shoot.  I'm now the proud (and slightly overwhelmed) new owner of a t2i with a 18-55 and a 55-250.  To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure where to begin.  I should have signed up for a photography class a the community college.  :o

I'm looking forward to learning much form this forum.

Could someone direct me to a page that explains: fstop/iso/shutter speed/etc...?  I really need to start at the basics.  haha

Thanks,
Nigh

Welcome xNighx! We have a lot of very useful links in this forum, http://www.t2iforum.com/useful-resources/

Maybe start in there and just start doing some reading. If you are really that new then take a look at the cheat sheet that was posted in that same forum as that really is about as basic as you will get it. From there I think it is just a matter of playing with the camera in your living room or some place like that and doing a bunch of controlled test shots.

There are lots of new users in this forum so just take your time and pick though the threads. Don't hold back on asking questions and you will be up to speed in no time.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.
