Picking up digital photography after a 25 year layoff. How things have changed eh?  I have owned a 550D for seven months now.  I guess a slight improvement is noticeable from my first attempts but could really do with some help and advice.  In particular if anyone can recommend some good ideas for setting up User Settings, I would really appreciate it

Head on out to the general discussion or the new photographer forums and make a post out there about your user settings. Lots of good people will jump in there and try to help you out. They might ask you some questions back and before long you will learn something that you want to know as well as spur the chatter that will help teach a bunch of people some things.
