price isn't changing quality for extension tubes. i bought my ext. tube for 15$ too :) you can take better photos :) feel it in your soul  :) ;)

Oh that is great! Why such a wide price range? Brand name?

the expensive ones transmit  the focus and f/stop info to the lens, the cheap ones do not.

Oh ok, thanks!

I only use my Canon Rebel Digital T2i. I have a 18-55 and  55-250 kit, 50mm 1.8 lens, DHD 0.45 x super wide angle lens with macro, a macro close up set, a Fotodiox Macro extension tube set kit and UV, Circular, and florescent lens.

What type of lenses are you using?

IMO I find the cheap macro attachments (Tubes, reversing rings etc.) work real nice with older all-manual lenses coz then u have instant access to the exposure ring. With modern lenses i find it a bit annoying not having immediate control (cos theyre no electronic connections in the cheap attachments.

BTW just a newbie hint, dont forget to move yourself WAY closer to the subject than for a 'normal' photo. otherwise u wont find focus.

I haven't messed around much with the ones I have, I know I have a x2, and for sure a x10 and then the one in the picture. I need to do some practicing for sure!
