PhotoPlus and EOS magazine question
« on: February 18, 2012, 11:28:18 PM »
Hi!
I saw on a post somewhere on here....that Photo Plus and EOS were two recommended magazines. I went to the website, but both of them seem to be offered thru the UK. I know I can subscribe and have them sent to me in the US, but I can't tell what the price is. I don't know what L89.00 is equal to....

Does anyone know of a link that would send me to a place that would send them from the US? Or are they specifically printed in the UK?

Thanks!

I think that they are UK based but they will send them to US at extra cost.

£89 is about $140 - try using a converter like this one: http://www.ukforex.co.uk/currency-converter

Thanks Snapper! I appreciate it and I saved the converter link. :)

Sounds like a lot of money for a magazine....do a lot of you out there subscribe to this one? Would you recommned it for a beginning photographer or is it a magazine for a more experienced person?

Is there by chance a digital option available, that could save plenty on the shipping.

Not sure about the PhotoPlus magazine. The EOS magazine and all backnumbers are available in digital but only to magazine subscribers and at an extra cost.

It might be worth contacting either or both of the publishers and see what sort of deal they would be prepared to strike with you. The worst they are going to say is "No" ;)

You can purchase EOS magazine digital editions without being a print subscriber. The cost per issue is £3.95 (about $6.24 at today's exchange rate) - less if you buy five or eight at the same time.

Note that access is online - you can't download the issue to your computer. The editions are now iPad compatible (via your iPad browser).

Send me an e-mail if you would like further details.

I am sure that offer will be taken up by some on the forum - thanks for the info.  :)

I have been subscribing to the printed and digital version for a few months now and love the varied content. Keep up the good work!!
