Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS3 (hoping to upgrade to CS5.5 soon), iPhoto (mostly for posting albums to galleries online but sometimes use it for post)

Lightroom 3 is VERY easy to use and is wonderful.

Canon TL w/ 50mm 1.8, 35mm 2.8, 135mm 3.8, 250mm 5.6

I have the Enfuse & Photomatix plug-ins for LR3 & PS for HDR work,

Topaz suite (DeNoise, Clean, Detail etc. but I rarely find the need to use them)

I started with Picasa (now on  version 3), which is a really great free editing suite from Google.
I still use this to catalog my photos and upload to the  web.

I now use Photoshop Elements 9 for layer editing and more detailed work. I also use Lightroom 3 for some editing and work with Topaz plugins.

Finally I use Photomatix 4 for HDR work.
I once prayed to God for a camera, but quickly found out he didn't work that way.... so I stole a camera and prayed for his forgiveness.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I have Paintshop Pro X2 and Photoshop CS3, but NOT lightroom. I use them mainly for making graphics/clipart, so using them for post production......have no clue. Tried adjusting different things, but I sooo don't have the hang of it.

Any good articles on using them for post production? Where is the white balance?  I don't seem to get the saturation and hue right. It all seems weird to me.

There are MANY tutorials on YouTube for Lightroom as well as the Adobe site has video tutorials on Lightroom.  I also have and recommend the Scott Kelby book on Lightroom 3.  Very easy read in a "not over the head" sort of way.

Speaking of Lightroom 3, just got this email from B & H Photo on a 24 hour sale on LR3 for 69.00:

I can also recommend PhotoPlus Canon Edition magazine if you can get hold of it. I get mine delivered on subscription so that I can read it before Skierboy buys his copy  ;) I also subscribe to the magazine and digital versions of EOS magazine - http://www.eos-magazine.com/. Loads of information and tutorials there as well  :)

When you click magazine there, they show 2 subscribe buttons. Is one for people who have EOS cameras and one for those wanting to take better pictures? I just subbed to the one on the right.
