Thanks for the info. I guess I will stick with taking the pics in the dual format. That way I can have the jpgs that look pretty good to me, but then I can practice working with RAW. I have the Canon Camera RAW program and I have Adobe Elements 9 (does that have camera raw built into it....and where do you find the 'presets'?

fishingqueen07 - Elements does have the RAW converter in it. I don't use it often as I use LR but I do know that if I try to open a CR2, (raw) file in Elements then it opens in the RAW editor.

Others that use it often can probably give you better insight but I am just saying that it opens automatically for me.
I'm an old film guy just playing catchup in this digital world. Help me out.
