Butterfly PICs from today

Butterfly's proved to be a much harder target to take pics of then I thought.  I think I would have had better results with my 50mm.

Sometimes it's hard to get sharp images out of that darn thing but trust me...it CAN be done!

Your shutter speed looked like it was high enough...no smearing...wiggling.

have you tried a bit of diffused flash on something like this? It really helps...sometimes I feel like I can't get a sharp shot without flash  :'(

Yeah...they were very skittish.  This was my first attempt at butterflies but we will be going back :)

I didn't use a flash at all.  I believe we were told no flash photography before we went in.
