What's for Dinner?
« on: January 26, 2012, 09:18:28 PM »
Was messing around the other week with some guns in place of food/utensils... This was a trial run, as I want to recompose it a bit in the future, and add in something interesting to compliment the guns or change the mood (friend suggested a G-String). Was also using it as food shoot practice. Suggestions on direction to proceed, appreciated.

Straight up bad ass!  Which lens?  You put these on a white sheet?
Canon T2i - Kit Lens, Canon 55-250mm, Canon 50mm 1.4, Rokinon 8mm Fisheye, Canon 35mm 2.0, Tokina 11-16, Canon 16-35L ii, Canon 100mm

The cake is a lie.

Thanks!
Sigma 50mm 1.4 @ ISO 100, 1/160, f8.
Two shoot through umbrelllas with 550EX and 580EX.
The white background was just two sheets of posterboard taped together, and taped to a table in the livingroom (see below). Next time I will double up on the posterboard, so I don't need to add it in post.

Break Free is the sh!t... Used it for 25+ years now, on everything from pistols to MGs. - Check my site (not updated in eons) - http://www.biggerhammer.net/ if you are into things that shoot something besides pictures.

Might have some more interesting shots coming this weeekend - I have been invited to shoot with M249s and other fun stuff -have to see if I have a baby sitter though.

This was in November, and is a Shrike being broken in (lots of Break Free involved).

Nice shot!

And I love your choice of stainless steel!

And the break-free shooter was great also.

Hoped to have a bunch of shots of the M249 in action and create a new photo topic, but the range was just too crowded to shoot photos effectively. So here my consolation photo - hopefully there will be opportunities in the future.

BTW this was with a 28-135 @ 28mm/f5.6 - Friend grabbed the camera and shot away.
ISO 800
Speedlite 550EX w/Lumiquest softbox laying on table to the right of the gun.

Badass...the posterboard background idea is cool, never thought about that before.

I like the fact that Elmo showed up for the meal.

Unfortunately for him, he needs to learn a little gun safety.... You don't sit on "that" side of the table, with 4 barrels pointed your way.
