RSS feeds?
« on: January 11, 2012, 05:13:31 PM »
Ryan, not sure if its an option with the boards you have or not, but I do as much of my "keeping up to date" with an RSS feed sidebar in my web browser. Some message boards I use have the option. Some don't. If it is available with the SMF boards (I know in older versions it was, but the version you are using is newer than the one I used to use at my site), I would be very happy to see it.

If I am just a moron and can't find it and its actually available right now, someone please point me in the right direction.

Never found an answer until I stumbled upon it by accident in Firefox. Under bookmarks there is a subscribe to this page button. Not sure if it works on every site, but this site doesn't have a notable RSS feed button anywhere and it found one for it. So, problem solved for this site, for me, at least.

I'm sorry that I was on vacation when you posted that, because I could have helped. The RSS feed is listed in the metadata for the page; if the metadata is present, that "subscribe" is available, otherwise it's greyed out.

You can actually look at the RSS feed in Firefox: http://www.t2iforum.com/.xml/?type=rss and on that page there's a "subscribe" button as well. If you add it as a live bookmark, you can move it around in your bookmarks hierarchy.
