Resources on HDSLR Videography

If you're considering entering the world of documentary filmmaking and your looking to do it on a budget, The Shut Up and Shoot Documentary Guide: A Down & Dirty DV Production can't be beat.  The reviews on Amazon speak for themselves.



Here's a free ebook online that you can obtain be subscribing.  I haven't personally looked at it yet but it seems to get fairly decent reviews... and it's FREE!

Also the book "DSLR CINEMA - Crafting the Film Look wirh Video" by Kurt Lancaster is pretty great.

and here is a guy teaching how to use the 7D to make vids.... It's really helpfull since there is not much difference between the two camera's.

I actually read the DSLR Cinematography guide last year. It was actually pretty informative but it seemed to be geared a little more at new shooters than those who are comfortable with a DSLR. I definitely second Nutellagorilla on his suggestion with Kurt Lancaster's book. That thing is loaded with info on Phillip Bloom and Shane Hurlbut.
