I did my own 'low light' tests, mainly to compare with my quality "point and shoot" - a Sony HX5. I posted the results on youtube; can you watch (skip to the second half if you like, where the T2i shots are) and tell me how it compares to what you're getting?

I just watched this one and you got pretty much noise free imagery.  HDR describes situations where porch and street lights are pretty bright but I'm guessing most of the rest of the scene his camera sees consists of "pools of darkness".

Your test was done where the street surface (and parking lot pavement in the background) is "bathed" in light.  This is a situation where even at high ISO's you got enough exposure to prevent objectionable noise.  HDR should try again in a well lit mall parking lot situation and see what he gets before trying to RMA his camera.

it's easy . .

if you are using 30f don't set your shutter speed lower than 1/60 and always remember that frame rate multiply by 2 example 25f = 1/50 and and doesn't matter if you are using 50mm 1.8f because i never get noise on my 18-55  using ISO 200 and 25f with 1/60 shutter speed but this is depends on the distance of your subject because you need to use your custom adjustment if you are changing f stop.
